This policy explains how Chartling, operated by Cladeworks LLC, uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) when you use our veterinary practice platform. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. We also use browser local and session storage, which work similarly. Together we refer to these as “cookies” in this policy.

How we use them

Chartling is a clinical tool, not an ad-supported product. We do not sell your data. We use cookies in these categories:

• Strictly necessary: keeping you signed in, maintaining your session and selected clinic, and protecting against cross-site request forgery. These are set by Chartling and by our authentication provider (Supabase). The service cannot function without them, so they are not optional.
• Preferences: remembering low-risk choices such as your theme and whether you have dismissed certain prompts. These are stored locally in your browser.
• Advertising measurement: we run measurement pixels from Meta and OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) to measure whether our advertising brings new clinics to the platform. When you create an account, these providers may receive a hashed (unreadable) form of your email address, your IP address, browser details, and click identifiers, to attribute signups to ad campaigns and improve them. If you opted out of analytics on this site (via the exclude_analytics link), the pixels never load. You can also block them with standard browser tracking controls.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers that may set strictly necessary cookies on our behalf, notably Supabase (authentication and database) and Cloudflare (content delivery and security). For advertising measurement only, Meta and OpenAI (ChatGPT Ads) receive the limited data described above; neither receives clinical, billing, or patient data, and neither is permitted to build profiles of your clients or patients.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because Chartling relies on strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in, blocking them will prevent you from logging in and using the platform.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
