Set up your clinic and run your first visit in under an hour.

Sign in to Chartling
Go to chartling.io/app and sign in with Google or your email. If you just signed up, your account was created automatically — check your inbox for a confirmation link if prompted.

Complete your clinic profile
Go to Settings → Clinic profile. Add your clinic name, address, phone number, and logo. This information appears on invoices and the owner portal.
While you're here, set your weight unit (lb or kg) and distance unit (mi or km). These affect how weights and distances are displayed across Chartling — you can change them later, but it's easiest to set them before you start entering patient data.

Invite your team
Go to Settings → Team & permissions and click Invite by email. Enter each staff member's email and assign a permission pack (Vet, Associate Vet, Vet Tech, Senior Tech, Receptionist, Practice Manager, or Owner / Admin). They'll receive an invite email with a link to set up their account.

Add your first patient
Go to Patients → New patient. Enter the animal's name, species, breed, date of birth, and weight. Link the patient to a client (owner) by creating a new client record or searching for an existing one.

Run your first visit
Open the patient record and click New visit. Capture consent, complete the SOAP, and sign the note. The invoice is generated automatically when you finalize the visit.

After your first visit, enable ambient capture on a second visit. Chartling listens during the exam and drafts the SOAP for you. See AI scribe.

For a solo practitioner, 15–20 minutes. For a multi-vet practice with a full team, allow 30–45 minutes to invite staff, set permissions, and verify the clinic profile before seeing patients.
No. You can start seeing patients in Chartling immediately and add historical records later, or work in parallel with your existing system during the transition. Contact support@chartling.io if you need help with a bulk import.
Yes. Go to Settings → Team & permissions → Invite by email at any time. Adding a licensed veterinarian seat increases your subscription — you'll see the prorated charge on your next invoice, whether you're on a monthly or yearly plan.
