What's new
October 2026
- Boarding nights are now counted by calendar day, so a late pickup never adds a night by itself. The checkout review has a Picked up field to bill to the real pickup time, and check-in re-checks required vaccines.
- Record several vaccines at once: the Record vaccines dialog takes a list, and a scanned certificate fills one row per vaccine. Boarding, daycare, grooming and training workspaces now have a Vaccinations tab on the pet record.
- Billing now has a Clients on a plan panel with Manage, Change plan, Cancel (end at renewal, or end now and refund) and End now, full credit when a client moves to a newer plan.
- The merge dialog warns when two records look like different patients or clients and asks you to confirm before merging.
- An unpaid percent deposit is recalculated when a kennel move changes a stay's price.
- Deleting a booking's reminder now dismisses it so it is not recreated or sent.
- The Today first steps guide stays closed on every device once you dismiss it.
- New guides: Chip lookup, AI Insights, and Documents & forms.
- New sections: Staff directory and Time off (Team & permissions), Vaccines and rabies certificates (Patients), A/R aging (Invoicing & payments), and Time zone (Settings).
- Training lesson plans: add a curriculum to a program, one lesson per session, and each session shows its lesson and prefills homework.
- Training group classes: set capacity, a roster with a waitlist, and a recurring meeting schedule, then take attendance for the whole class in one step.
- Training makeup sessions: choose whether missed sessions earn a makeup, and set the notice, limit, and deadline. Owners see the policy and what they have left.
- Training deposits can be a flat amount or a percent of the program price, with refund policies for cancellations and declined requests.
- Completing a training session or class drafts a report card for each pet. Staff review it before an owner sees anything.
- Owner portal: a training progress page with lessons, homework, goals, and upcoming sessions.
- Vaccinations now appear on the patient chart timeline.
- Cancelling a board-and-train enrollment cancels its boarding stay too, as long as the pet has not checked in yet.
- If you switch workspaces in another tab, an older tab now pauses changes and offers to reload or switch back, so nothing is saved to the wrong clinic.
September 2026
- Clicking Complete on a clinic appointment now opens the same checkout review Boarding, Daycare and Grooming use, so front desk can adjust charges and collect payment without leaving Today or the calendar.
- Training programs get the same checkout review when completed, plus a way to cancel an entire enrollment (not just one session).
- Optional late checkout fees for Boarding, and late pickup / early drop-off fees for Daycare, billed automatically and waivable at checkout.
- Combine a client's unpaid invoices into one bill from their record.
- Archive or permanently delete a voided invoice (deleting still requires nothing was ever paid on it).
- New guides: Inventory and purchase orders, Dental charting, ER intake, Referrals, and Wellness plans.
- Controlled substances guide now covers receiving stock with a DEA Form 222 or CSOS number, and witnessed waste, adjustments and returns.
- Scan or upload photos, PDFs and office files to fill vaccine, medication and dose forms.
- Confirm and undo for Mark ready, check-in, and grooming status steps.
- Shared suites show every pet on the boarding board.
- Invoices show Charged, Paid and Due; deposits show once with a Deposit receipt.
- Saved cards are only charged when staff press Charge. Only memberships bill automatically.
- Recurring plans on the Billing page.
- Editable staff roles; staff see only their own settings; Copilot for staff.
- Portal: current visit cost estimate, payments and receipts, report cards, price list, add to calendar.
- Draft checklists and task queue items with AI.
- Send a client a secure link to add or replace their card on file, or remove one, from the client record.
- Standing discounts on a client's account, one pet, one membership, or one booking, automatic or staff-applied.
August 2026
- Inbound calls: answer calls to your clinic number, forward them to a staff line, or take a voicemail that is transcribed and filed to the patient chart (Settings → Text messaging).
- Shared-number call routing for clinics that forward their main line to the shared Chartling number.
